Field Tested: Bending Branches Expedition Plus

1-piece wood straight shaft w/ laminated blades at 126 sq. in.; Length: 52″–60″ in 2″ increments: $150 at

The Bending Branches Expedition Plus paddle isn’t just useful, it’s also gorgeous. Reinforced material around the blades makes sure that the all-wood paddle stays in action for the long haul. The catch is smooth and rudders and j-strokes are powerful. With just enough flex to be a bit easier on the joints, this relatively lightweight blade is a pleasure to paddle with.
