Gus spends a few summer weeks skiing the Southern Hemisphere’s Cardrona Alpine Resort in New Zealand. It sits above a vast valley funneling down to the town of Wanaka.
Along with pro surfers passing through the area, Gus frequents an Indian food buffet he calls Curry in a Hurry, though it’s actually named Sagun Cafe. “It’s pretty cheap, really good, and the first time I went there, I ate there eight days in a row,” he recalls. “I kind of burnt myself out on it, but it’s amazing.”Back to top
