Behold Cloudbreak’s biggest swell since 2012

This week saw some of the biggest swell at Fiji’s famed Cloudbreak since the legendary swell of 2012, as reported by SURFER. Big-wave chasers like Damien Hobgood, Mark Healey and Greg Long flew out to play.

Healey ended up performing CPR on his friend, 2016 Big Wave Awards Biggest Paddle winner Aaron Gold, who reportedly suffered a two-wave hold-down that left him floating face down in the water before a Jet Ski rescued him.

Gold is recovering, and happier moments from this week’s swell were captured in this edit by Guy Macindoe.
