Jumping dolphins surround woman water skiing in Baja, Mexico

What do you do when there is no wind to go windsurfing? Why, you go water skiing with a pod of dolphins. That is what Wyatt Miller of Pro-Windsurf La Ventana did recently on a calm day on the Sea of Cortez off Baja California, Mexico, taking an unidentified woman water skiing. She got the thrill of a lifetime when dolphins showed up jumping all around her; one jumps completely out of the water. Watch:

“We’re going to make a YouTube sensation with this,” the boat operator (presumably Miller) says on the video.

Well, it could happen.

On the Pro-Windsurf La Ventana Facebook page, Miller wrote Tuesday that he had just gotten word from La Paz that the “Dolphin Surfing” video was on the Mexican TV show “Venga La Alegria” and had 132,000 hits in five days. It is definitely starting to take off.

Anyway, those who have viewed the video are impressed. Among the comments under the video:

“Awesome!”

“Majestic.”

“Dolphins are always showing off!”

“Breathtaking! What I’d give to be able to do this!”

“So amazing!”

Indeed, it is amazing.
