By now, you’ve probably seen footage of Kai Lenny’s latest feat of surfing sorcery. But in case you missed it, the Maui local air dropped 20 feet down the face of an absolute monster wave at Peahi. Not to mention, this was on a day when the 2018 Jaws Challenge – part of the WSL’s Big Wave Tour – was cancelled because the waves were too big. In this clip, Lenny recounts that epic moment and shares how his past waterman experience – including standup paddling – helped prepare him for that day.
