Adventure is timeless, every generation experiences it through its own lens. That lens is now as expansive and accessible as it has ever been. Today’s adventurers might be climbing a Colorado fourteener, driving the Baja Peninsula in search of uncrowded waves, or just camping in the backyard to watch a meteor shower. If you’re having new experiences or pushing your boundaries, it counts. Adventure Sports Network was launched to provide ideas, information, and inspiration to anyone who values experiences above all, and who is more comfortable outdoors than in.

Following American Media’s February 2019 acquisition of ASN and its sister titles Surfer, Snowboarder, Powder, Bike, TransWorld SKATEboarding, and Newschoolers, the entire portfolio was aligned with American Media’s Men’s Journal.

For nearly three decades, Men’s Journal has been documenting and inspiring active and adventurous lifestyles. Because outdoor adventure is so central to the Men’s Journal audience—and also because of its obvious size and reach—we have made the decision, effective Dec. 1, to integrate ASN’s site (as well as its entire digital content archive) under the MJ banner. Otherwise, we aren’t planning to make any changes to our main areas of coverage. You’ll still find the same mix of athlete profiles, gear reviews, expedition dispatches, travel guides, outdoor and wellness trends plus environmental news, as well as all your favorite ASN contributors, now living on mensjournal.com.

Adventure Sports Network now refers to the entire portfolio, while the standalone ASN site’s integration allows Men’s Journal to offer more coverage in the areas they have built decades of credibility covering, notably in health and fitness, food and drink, style, travel, and of course, more gear.

As we keep on our task to bring to life the joy, the fear, the escape, and the community of outdoor adventure, we hope you stay on for the ride ahead.
