Standup Paddleboard Review: Fanatic All Wave LTD

8’9” X 32” (145L)

In a perfect world, we would have a different SUP for every type of wave. But when one sled has to do, the Fanatic AllWave LTD answers the call. With a super stable 145 liters of volume, the 8’9” AllWave is beginner-friendly yet surprisingly rippable thanks to its thinner rails and double V concave running from the mid-section to the tail. At the same time, its pronounced rocker allows you to drop into steep sections with confidence but doesn’t inhibit you from planing into waves early. Equipped with five fin boxes for either a quad or thruster setup, you can choose between using Futures fins (not included) with a screw and plate setup, or stock fins that pop in sans hardware. We suggest the former option as our tester ran into issues when he lost a stock fin to the shallows. Beginners will also appreciate the AllWave’s solid durability: despite several months of heavy use, the board never suffered a significant ding. For those looking to take their SUP surfing to the next level, the AllWave will keep you stoked no matter what conditions the ocean throws at you. –Jack Haworth
