South Shore to Lost Fork Loop
The top of the South Shore Trail looks out over the vast expanse of the northern Great Plains, just as Lewis and Clark saw them when they discovered the Great Falls over 200 years ago. Partially created by locals like Travis Feller from Knicker Biker, the trail is for serious riders, able to take the rattling obstacles and skirt the cliffs along the Missouri River. The rocky sections, technical don’t-look-down turns, and technical climbs add up to an epic ride. Round out the day with visits to the nearby bar with swimming mermaids, the Lewis & Clark museum, and Bert & Ernie’s Tavern & Grill.
