The Great Ocean Road, Australia
Technically the largest war memorial in the world, this 18-mile stretch in Southern Australia between Port Campbell and Anglesea is a captivating blend that starts with winding roadways along the rugged coast before detouring inland for a nip across Otway National Park. This route is less about adrenaline and more a relaxing cruise, and since it’s relatively short, there’s plenty of time to stop off in some of the small towns along the way. Pro tip: If you decide to run it both ways starting in the morning, begin in Anglesea so you don’t drive into the glaring sun.
