Soldier Hollow, Park City, UT
Located just outside Park City, Soldier Hollow served as the cross-country skiing arena for the 2002 Winter Olympics, and has since been named Utah’s “Best Olympics Legacy Venue.” Pros and wannabe pros can take full advantage of Soldier Hollow’s black diamond trails — with high-speed banked turns on the Rollercoaster Trail — but the area offers something for every ability level. With just 15 miles of skiable terrain, the network is on the small side, but few trail systems are as well-maintained, have such high-quality facilities, beginner-friendly lessons, and world-class grooming. A day pass runs $19.
