Florida is known for being as flat as a pancake, but that’s exactly why you should go—only true MTBers know of the worthy trails hidden in the sunshine state. The first place on your radar: Santos Mountain Bike Park. It doesn’t have a ton of natural elevation (again, Florida), but because it was built in a former limestone quarry, there’s about 1,000 vertical feet to play with and more than 80 miles of singletrack to explore. (Many have badass wooden features to mess around on, too.) If you’re up for a challenge, take on the intermediate Sinkhole or Cow Bone trails—they’ll force you to master tight corners, navigate smaller rocks and roots, and blast over chunky limestone so you can say you really earned that post-ride beer.
