The Greatest Training Montage Ever Made by a Tour de France Racer

How does world champion road cyclist Peter Sagan prepare for the coming season? With a Rocky-inspired training montage, apparently. In it, the racer chops wood, runs with a log on his back, and rock climbs up to a ridge — all while wearing a leather jacket, fur hat, and black jeans. Yes, he has a pretty good sense of humor.

Sagan, a fan favorite for his big personality as much as his wins, shot the video with his sponsor *sunroot, which makes organic food products. While his world championship win came last fall, at this summer's Tour de France, he's already notched a stage win and spent three days in the leader's jersey.

Last winter, Sagan and his wife made a shot-for-shot lip-synched remake of the final scene from Grease with *sunroot. The exact inspiration for the Grease tribute isn't clear, but Sagan is endearingly goofy in both videos. Thankfully, the training montage hints that there's more to come from the world champ, with a closing shot of Sagan squaring off against a chiseled gladiator.
