Red Bull's latest video doesn't just up the ante on big mountain skiing, it sets a new standard for jaw-dropping snow stunts. The trailer for the brand's The Unrideables: Alaska Range, Red Bull takes us inside the world of speedriding, a terrifying combination of high-speed backcountry skiing and paragliding. Skiers patch together previously unrideable mountain slopes, flying off to the next section when they reach cliffs and crevasses.
The man behind the film, Jon DeVore, is a freerider and Alaska native, but made his name at Red Bull in skydiving and BASE jumping and now manages the Red Bull Air Force skydive team. He told RedBull.com, "Not only are many obstacles such as major ice falls now obsolete, but we have a whole new perspective to playing on the mountain’s features."
Red Bull will premiere the full-length documentary on January 21 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
