Watch NASA’s First GoPro Footage of a Spacewalk

YouTube's trove of GoPro-style videos covers everything from climbing (and jumping off of) Everest, a flying through the Amazonian rainforest, and racing the Tour de France. Now, in maybe the coolest point-of-view video yet, an astronaut takes his GoPro on a spacewalk outside the International Space Station.

NASA released footage captured by astronauts Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Terry Virts during a mission on the ISS in February and March. The two videos provide mesmerizing point-of-view shots of the earth below and the Milky Way above. As part of the mission, the astronauts set up antennas and routed 4,000 feet of power and data cables in anticipation of the arrival of commercial crafts in 2017 through partnerships with SpaceX and Boeing.
