Watch Ski Champion Marcel Hirscher's Most Colorful Run Four-time World Cup alpine skiing champion Marcel Hirscher mixed art with sport in his new Red Bull video at the Reiteralm ski resort in Austria. The video of the 26-year-old racer is a thank you to his fans as what he calls "the perfect gift for a gifted season." Hirscher won five giant slaloms and two slaloms this season, and became the first men's skier ever to win four World Cup overall titles in a row in Maribel, France on March 22nd.
The course, specially prepared for Hirscher, has gate poles filled with dyed cornstarch that deploy every time the skier speeds past. The foggy fireworks of color turned the steep slope into a canvas that looks like old-fashioned candy buttons. Afterwards, the racer's suit, which started off white, was covered in blue and pink and red. He told Red Bull, "On every door I was blind for a fraction of a second!" Though it didn't seem to slow him down.
To get an idea of how fast Hirscher can carve turns when he's not pulling a stunt, watch him take home the 2015 World Cup title below.
