What It’s Like to Water Ski on a 30-Foot Wave

American surfer and jack-of-all-trades adventurer Chuck Patterson skied down some the world's largest waves at Maui's Jaws break. Though Patterson wasn't competing at the Eddie Aikau Surf Contest in Oahu, he was able to take advantage of the same swell as it pounded the North Shore of the island. Born in San Leandro, California, Patterson says he is addicted to any activity that "encompasses water and snow." So it didn't come as a surprise to see him rise to the challenge and ride along these treacherous waves. Watch how Patterson keeps his composure as he successfully carves some of the biggest waves you will ever see.
