The Thin Blue Line (1988)
Director Errol Morris argues the case for Randall Dale Adams, an innocent man who was wrongly convicted and sentenced to life in prison for killing a Texas cop in 1976. Robert Wood was a Dallas police officer who was shot and killed during a traffic stop of a car Adams was in that night. After the film’s release, the case against Adams was reviewed and he was set free. As a result, the movie is considered a landmark piece of documentary filmmaking.
