Fantastic Mr. Fox
Wes Anderson’s stop-motion-animation take on Roald Dahl’s book balances the story’s kid-lit sense of animal-kingdom whimsy and the OCD eccentricity of his other movies — a perfect peanut-butter-meets-chocolate combination. They get a rollicking adventure in which a smooth-talking fox tries to save his friends from a farmer’s vengeance; you get deadpan humor and Bill Murray voicing a badger. Win-win!
