In which everyone’s favorite Fab Four literally become cartoon characters and help a kindly old sea captain fight music-hating bad guys called Blue Meanies. Watching George Dunning’s psychedelic, Pop Art-damaged animation today might make adults feel like someone’s dropped something in their drink, but you could not ask for a better kid-friendly introduction to the Beatles and their music.
