Walk, Don’t Run
The only comedy on this list uses the housing shortage during the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo as its backdrop. In his final performance onscreen, Cary Grant plays a wealthy businessman who tries to spark a romance between a woman he is renting from and the Olympic race walker that he ends up subletting to. The movie is a suitably charming watch and features a jazzy score from Quincy Jones.
