Brie Larson is ready to take off as Captain Marvel. The Oscar-winning actress revealed the Captain Marvel trailer on Good Morning America, showing the first footage of the highly-anticipated film. In the trailer, Larson’s Carol Danvers gets pulled back to earth after years of fighting in space, forced to figure out where she came from.

Taking place in the 1990s, Danvers crosses paths with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) as she finds out about her past—and her ridiculously strong powers.

The official plot of the movie “follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

The trailer shows off glimpses of the Starforce, Jude Law’s mentor character, and flashbacks to when Danver’s was an Air Force pilot. Captain Marvel is expected to have a major impact on the events of Avengers: Infinity War when they continue in Avengers 4, and now Marvel fans have their first look at Danvers in action.
