Cliffhanger was one of Stallone’s most memorable films from his heyday, giving him the chance to show off his climbing—and fighting—skills on the side of a mountain. The movie was filmed mostly in Italy, with many of the climbing scenes shot at Tofane, one of the mountain groups in the Dolomites of northern Italy.
