Howling velociraptors, a hungry Tyrannosaurus rex, an exploding volcano, and a shark-like dinosaur as large as a building. It’s just another ordinary day at Jurassic Park.
After the smashing box office success of Jurassic World—a cool $1.672 billion in worldwide grosses—the latest trailer for the sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, shows how this installment will be bigger, badder, and full of more dinosaurs than its predecessor.
This time around, the film picks up four years after the destruction of Jurassic Park, when former Navy vet and dino trainer Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) is pulled back into action to save dinosaurs from a volcanic disaster. The campaign is led by former park director Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), who now runs the Dinosaur Protection Group, and naturally, all hell breaks loose.
On top of the exploding volcano and dangerous dinosaurs on the island, Grady and Dearing discover a wild conspiracy that involves genetic editing, dinosaur cloning, weapons development—and a new, scary-looking dinosaur that no one’s ever seen before: The Indoraptor.

Adding some nostalgia to the sequel, Jeff Goldblum is returning to the franchise for a cameo appearance as Dr. Ian Malcolm, reprising his role from the first two Jurassic Park films. While it’s a small role, director J.A. Bayona said to The Independent that “it’s definitely a very meaningful one in terms of the story.”
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released on June 22, 2018.
