The final Deadpool 2 trailer has dropped about a month ahead of the film’s release, and damn, does it look like Ryan Reynolds had some fun in this one.

Just like the first film, the tone can be described as “tongue-firmly-in-cheek,” and that’s clear in this trailer, which makes room for meta jokes about DC superhero films and Josh Brolin’s (Cable) film career between the motorcycle chases, huge explosions, and ridiculous amounts of gunplay.

The plot of the film has started to reveal itself a bit more over the recent trailers: Deadpool assembles a rag-tag, pretty badass team of heroes—the X-Force—including Domino (Zazie Beetz), Bedlam (Terry Crews), and Shatterstar (Lewis Tan), along with his old X-Men pals Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), to take down Brolin’s Cable character, who is trying to kidnap/kill a powerful young mutant named Russell, played by Julian Dennison.

Take a look at the wildly fun action in the trailer:

Anyone familiar with the comics and Cable’s history knows that Cable will eventually come over to the good side. Now whether that’s in this movie or the next Deadpool/X-Force film remains to be seen—but here, he looks to be the major antagonist to Deadpool and company.

Deadpool 2 will be released on May 18.
