Madden NFL 18
Just like cover athlete Tom Brady, the Madden franchise continues to get better with age. The game gets a facelift with the new Frostbite engine, which brings all the details of the NFL broadcast experience to life. In this 29th installment, EA Sports introduces the first-ever story mode with Longshot. The game’s ties to Friday Night Lights go beyond suiting up actor Scott Porter as fictional quarterback Devin Wade. This mode offers a branching story and gameplay that spans high school and college football games, as well as the NFL scouting combine. It’s like a playable movie, which offers something quite different for the franchise. When it comes to the core gameplay, Madden 18 introduces a trio of new game styles that offer something for all skill levels: Arcade, Simulation and Competitive. It’s also now possible to precision target your passes anywhere on the field. And there’s the Play Now mode, which takes up-to-date stats from NFL.com and lets you play weekly match-ups all the way through to the Super Bowl. Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) Squads introduces three-versus-three online gameplay with custom-made teams featuring NFL stars and legends.
