Chris Hemsworth had a big 2018, with three movies he needed to physically transform for. While Hemsworth is already a fit guy, he needed to stack on more muscle to play the Norse god, Thor, for the seventh time in Avengers: Infinity War. Hemsworth also starred in 12 Strong as a horse-riding soldier, and a charismatic cult leader in Bad Times at the El Royale—a role that required him to be shirtless quite a bit. Hemsworth worked with his longtime trainer and childhood friend, Luke Zocci, to lean out for the latter role, using boxing, intense core workouts, surfing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and weightlifting to get a more lithe physique.
