Josh Brolin had plenty of films to train for this year. With roles in three major flicks—Deadpool 2, Avengers: Infinity War, and Sicario: Day of the Soldado—you could call 2018 the Year of Brolin. He worked with trainer Justin Lovato to get in shape to play Cable in Deadpool 2. Lovato put Brolin through intense workouts, including a warmup circuit with box jumps, stepups, leg raises, and boxing work, and an upper-body workout that included single-arm dumbbell curls, hammer curls, triceps extensions, and straight-bar curls. By the time he finished, Brolin was in even better shape than Ryan Reynolds, which is saying something, because he also got shredded for the film.
