Michael B. Jordan
Michael B. Jordan had a big year. Jordan crushed it in the gym for Black Panther and Creed 2, working with longtime trainer Corey Calliet for both flicks. To play Killmonger in Black Panther, Jordan ate six meals and worked out three times a day, eventually adding 15 pounds of muscle. Calliet put Jordan on a program that included complex movements and weightlifting, plus barbell curls, leg raises, squats, and lunges. Jordan continued his work for Creed 2, which required him to bulk up even more to face off against pro boxer Florian Munteanu, who played Viktor Drago in the film.
“I wanted to get bigger for this movie.” Jordan told Men’s Journal. “I already laid that foundation on my body for Black Panther, so I just built on top of that and shredded up a bit.”
Calliet detailed the workouts he made for Jordan for Creed 2, including his shoulders and chest workout, and a post-lift boxing HIIT circuit.
