Paul Rudd, the July 2018 Men’s Journal cover star, is known for his comedic work, but the longtime funny man has joined the ranks of ripped superhero actors for his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rudd sculpted a six-pack to play Scott Lang in Ant-Man back in 2015. “I was one of those people who always wanted the results, but never wanted to put in the work,” Rudd told Men’s Journal. This time around, he changed his attitude. We spoke with trainer Richard Louis, who put Rudd through some intense workouts that included hanging knee raises, bar curls, cable flyes, side planks, hammer curls, physio-ball work, and more. Rudd worked with a nutritionist, who put together a strict diet program to help make his abs—and his other muscles—pop on screen. Rudd also spoke with us about how he maintained his results for Ant-Man and The Wasp.
