Sports Illustrated launched an industry based on the notion of semi-artful photos of scantily clad women, and Pirelli, the tire company, raised the calendar concept to an honest-to-god art form (which is why their current calendar doesn’t make this list). Turn the page to 2017: The trashy calendar has become an odd duck — bringing a sort of creepy, pseudo-masculine pleasure that is best enjoyed ironically or as a gag gift.
