The Doc Revealed the First and Final Shot Scenes of the Season and for Main Characters
The Opener: In the documentary, director David Nutter revealed that the first shot scene of the final season was the moment where Dany, with Jorah beside her, tells Samwell that she torched his father and brother with her dragon.
Kit Harington’s ‘Last Watch’: The final scene shot for Kit Harington was part of the final episode, in the moment where he confronts Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) for killing Lannister soldiers in King’s Landing after they surrendered.
Emilia Clarke’s Goodbye: The final shot for Clarke on Game of Thrones was part of filming for Episode 3, where Dany and Jon are watching the Dothraki charge the main lines and get killed by the wights.
Night Ends: The final acting scene for the Night King (Vladimír Furdík) was a stunt shot where Furdík fell from his dragon Viserion. The moment was shot on a soundstage with a massive green screen. It wasn’t the final GoT moment for Furdík though: As we detailed in this Night King explainer, Furdík also is a stuntman and fight choreographer for the series, and he worked on fight scenes in the final episodes, including Cleganebowl.
