Easy Rider (1969)
There’s a very solid argument for this being the greatest motorcycle movie ever made. Peter Fonda and Dennis Hoppers’ ride to New Orleans is the focus of the movie, as are the bikes — designed by Fonda himself. A bourbon-swigging Jack Nicholson is just icing on the cake.
The Scene: It doesn’t get much better than the opening scene, where Fonda and Hopper cruise down the open pavement and over bridges to Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild.”
