The Motorcycle Diaries (2004)
Based on the journals of Ernesto “Che” Guevara during an incredible ride through South America with his friend Alberto en route to a medical residency, this is the quintessential wanderlust film. Riding through the glorious wilderness of Argentina and Peru, the two contemplate the meaning of life, while chasing tail and chasing sunsets. It also happens to be the project that made Gael Garcia Bernal an international star.
The Scene: The scenery is stunning throughout the picture, but in particular when the two are driving through Argentina on the back of their Norton 500, with the snow-crested peaks rising before them.
