These aren’t your father’s predators.
In The Predator, Shane Black’s reboot/sequel of the franchise, the aliens are bigger, stronger, and scarier than ever before. And it’s not just regular predators running around stalking humans—this time around, there are “super” predators hunting everyone.
The only thing standing in their way? Boyd Holbrook’s former Army ranger Quinn McKenna and his group of PTSD-suffering soldiers, including Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Thomas Jane, and Alfie Allen. The group teams up with a scientist (Olivia Munn) and a government agent (Sterling K. Brown) to stop the predators, but from the look of things, it won’t be easy.
Black has injected some humor to the action, something he’s done very well in his career as a screenwriter and director on films like Iron Man 3, Lethal Weapon, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
