Behind the Scenes of Seth Meyer’s Cover Shoot For Men’s Journal

“I don’t even like watching my show,” said Seth Meyers, who’s on the cover of the January 2018 issue of Men’s Journal, (which you can find on newsstands starting December 15) when asked how he felt about being on the cover of the January 2018 issue of Men’s Journal. “You should be interviewing my mom, ’cause she’s over the moon about this. Over the moon.”

The Late Night host traveled to the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn for the shoot, photographed by Robert Trachtenberg. While there, he re-enacted some of the things New Yorkers go through in real life getting around the city every day, including getting mashed into a small space with a ton of strangers. Turns out he found it pretty comforting.

“I liked the claustrophobia of getting squeezed up against people, mostly because I don’t ever feel comfortable getting a photograph taken of me,” he said. “So the more people the merrier.”

You can take a look at the cover here, as well as a preview of what’s inside the rest of the issue. From how to make and achieve a resolution next year, to a guide on the best places to travel and a story on the world’s best sausages, this one has something for everyone.
