Arriving on newsstands and in the mailboxes of subscribers this week is the November issue of of Men’s Journal, with a cover featuring the very talented and extremely jacked Chris Hemsworth, who’s currently starring for the fifth time as Thor, Norse god of thunder, in Thor: Ragnorok.
Elsewhere in the issue, you’ll find features on Kristen Bell, who speaks candidly about her relationship with Dax Shepard (and, yes, her feelings about monogamy), a fascinating piece on the fight to stop the spread of a cheap, synthetic alternative to heroin that’s ravaging Small-Town USA, a complete guide to your bike commute, a story on two divers looking to save 900 miles of caves from breakneck development in the Yucatan Peninsula, and, of course, all the in-depth outdoor gear coverage you’ve come to expect from us over the years.
What’s different this time around, though, is that we are now incorporating a beefed-up health and fitness section called The Blueprint. We’ll be offering advice on workouts, nutrition, the mental aspects of training — pretty much anything that helps you be the fittest, healthiest person you can be. We’ve taken to calling it “The playbook for a longer, stronger life.”
One more bit of news from the Men’s Journal universe: the new and improved magazine will now ship 12 issues per year, up from 10, with a 30% increase in pages.
