Rolls, Cheese, and Meat
On the one hand, a sandwich may seem like the ideal food to pack at home and bring on board a flight: It’s portable, and your choices are almost limitless. Pack it far enough in advance, though, and you might end up with something unpleasantly soggy or, depending on the weather, something that may have spoiled. Picking up a good roll or baguette and complementing it with some cheese or meat (or both) can be a good alternative — though you should make sure that the cheese isn’t so soft that it’ll run afoul of the TSA’s guidelines about liquids in your carry-on bag.
