Deep Fried Snickers
The deep-fried Snickers can be called a lot of different things. Gluttonous. Hubris. Novelty Advertising. It’s all of these things, but it’s also delicious in a more complex way than it may seem conceptually. If done right, the crisp deep-fried crust houses a heat-liquified mix of chocolate, caramel, and peanuts, vulcanized into something wholly different than the Snickers bar (side note: Snickers are also a great frozen treat that you can find at most state fairs). It’s not quite as iconic as its cousin, the deep-fried Twinkie, even though it makes more sense to deep fry a chocolate bar as opposed to something that already has a battered outer layer.
