Smoked Sage Margarita at the Secreto Lounge at Hotel St. Francis in Santa Fe, New Mexico
Santa Fe is a mecca for margarita lovers. In 2015, the city even launched the Santa Fe Margarita Trail, with 30-some designated bars serving up their best cocktails. Follow the salt crumbs all the way to Hotel St. Francis' Secreto Lounge for this smoky margarita that blends Azunia Reposado Tequila with Brazilian Orange Liqueur and a splash of fresh lime juice. The garnish is what really shines, though: Smoked sage is placed in the glass, which comes with a hickory smoked salt rim. Created by Chris Milligan, the “Garden-to-Glass Mixologist," who helped in the creation of the Santa Fe Margarita Trail, he's also been recognized as one of the best bartenders in the city.
