Grand Banks in New York City
This isn’t your grandparents' dinner cruise because (a) the sailboat stays docked and (b) the food is too good. Step aboard Grand Banks, a restaurant housed on a large wooden schooner that’s docked at Hudson River Park’s Pier 25 in Tribeca. It offers up 360-degree waterfront views. The menu’s focus is wild-caught and sustainably harvested oysters, with special attention on Atlantic oysters grown in and around New York’s waters.
Menu standout: Aside from seasonal oysters, there’s plenty of enticing small plates. The restaurant does a tomato and watermelon salad with coconut oil, mint, thai basil, and shiso.
