A study published in the International Journal of Psychophysiology found that male subjects experienced poorer sleep after consuming Tabasco sauce or mustard with dinner. Scientists believe capsaicin can affect sleep by increasing your body temperature during the first sleep cycle, so use lunchtime to satiate your spicy fix.
