Whole grain bread
As with whole grain pasta, bread that lists whole grain at the top of its ingredients list provides you with a greater amount of fiber, vitamins, and minerals than the white variety. So go ahead and build that better omelet for breakfast and pair it with a slice or two of toast. Look for bread that provides three to five grams of fiber per serving, and check the expiration date before you buy (grocers tend to put the ones about to expire up front).
