Dry Martini, Barcelona
Why It’s a Standout: There might not be a more revered cocktail bar in Barcelona than this genteel, English-style boîte in the Eixample neighborhood. Its entrance is outfitted with a display case stocked with very old bottles of Campari, Picon, and Martini, and further in, the behind glossy wood bar, are elegant barmen decked in crisp white jackets. And owner Javier de las Muelas is nothing short of an industry icon who has expanded the Barcelona operations to include outposts all over the world including in Rio de Janeiro and Singapore.
The Drink to Order: Over 1 million glasses of the bar’s Dry Martini has been served at this cocktail mecca. Ice-cold Bombay Sapphire gin, a couple of dashes of dry vermouth and a green olive, this is as classic as it gets.Back to top
