Recipe: Maple and Smoked Paprika Chicken
Maple syrup and smoked paprika complement each other beautifully in this easy chicken dish. When buying maple syrup, make sure the bottle says 100% pure maple syrup (and not the fake stuff made with high fructose corn syrup). As for the paprika, choose from hot and mild varieties. Both work deliciously in this recipe.

4, bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts (or a whole chicken, split)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Sea salt and pepper
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon country-style dijon
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
1. Pre-heat oven to 425.
2. Arrange chicken, skin side up, in a baking dish.
3. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, maple, paprika, oregano, salt and pepper.
4. Rub the spice mixture onto the chicken
5. Roast for 45 minutes. Turn the oven to broil to crisp the skin; 3 -5 minutes.
