30-Second Cocktails: Bourbon Milk Punch

“This is my attempt to re-create a drink that I had one Mardi Gras morning out of somebody’s refrigerator. I don’t even know who’s house it was, it was just a big Mardi Gras Party. Is it traditional? I don’t know, but it’s delicious, it’s a little bit sweet, and it’s restorative. The perfect brunch drink.” –St. John Frizell

Bourbon Milk Punch

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 3 dashes vanilla extract
  • ¾ oz simple syrup
  • 4 oz whole milk
  • Nutmeg

Shake bourbon, vanilla extract (if using), simple syrup, and milk over ice. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Dust with freshly grated nutmeg.
