Reposado and mezcal team up in this margarita that’s stirred, not shaken. The marg, courtesy of SER Steak + Spirits which is in the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, also incorporates Angostura bitters, an ingredient that’s more common in whiskey cocktails.
1.5 oz tequila reposado
.5 oz mezcal
1 tsp agave nectar
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 squeeze of fresh lime and charred lime wheel
Combine all ingredients with ice and stir for 10 seconds. Pour over fresh ice into a rocks glass, give a squeeze of lime, and garnish with a charred lime wheel.
