Elijah Craig 12 was a victim of the whiskey boom: To keep up with demand, Heaven Hill simply couldn’t maintain the 12-year statement. Over 2016, the once-plentiful bottles were snatched up in a Black Friday–esque grab for the last of it. The bottle has since been rebranded, and we like the new small-batch formula. But we’ll still say a bitter farewell.
