Brewer: Full Sail Brewing
Style: American Lager
Full Sail Brewing Company was founded in 1987, and while it might not have the brewing history of a Yuengling, it does have a Pre-Prohibition-style lager that looks and tastes the part. Full Sail’s Session Lager is sold in stubby 11-ounce bottles with bright red labels. The golden colored lager begs to be belted down in great gulps, and it has a clean, cracker-like flavor that was lost in most of the bigger breweries that actually survived prohibition. Session Lager also contains just 130 calories, which means that a long session at the bar doesn’t have to be followed by quite so long a session at the gym to work it off.
