The Best Chicken Patties

A surefire, standby chicken patty recipe you'll want to make again and again.

The first (and most important) secret to these chicken patties are grilling the chicken beforehand. The second secret? Using a combination of more flavorful dark meat thighs with white meat breasts, which will make your patties come out nice and juicy.

  • 2 skinless chicken breast fillets, chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 2 skinless chicken thigh fillets, chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp sea salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp sage
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • Oil for grilling

 In a food processor or powerful blender, add all the ingredients and blend very well.

Remove from blender/food processor and form into 4 even-sized patties.

Coat a grill pan with oil on medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook 3-5 minutes, until golden brown/slightly charred before flipping and repeating until fully cooked. Remove from pan and wrap in aluminum foil and allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
