Snow’s BBQ, Lexington, TX
Daniel Vaughn, Texas Monthly Barbecue Editor, names Snow’s as one of his top picks for Texas ribs. “I love big Texas spare ribs rather than the more dainty baby back ribs. You can’t go wrong with the ones they’re serving at Snow’s BBQ.” The pitboss is Tootsie Tomanetz. She is 80 years old and has been barbecuing for more years than I’ve been alive. Snow’s is about an hour east of Austin in a tiny town, and only open on Saturdays. Make sure to get there early – they sell out in about an hour – and it’ll be well worth the drive.
